This made me smile. Cuz PvP is what I do when there aren't enough people to PvE with. PvP isn't bad, its just a money sink that doesn't pay off for the majority of people who try to get into it. Alot of the "bad" PvP players are really just PvE ex-pats who are tired of grind but don't understand why they need to have 2 armor sets and 3-4 weapon sets to run around and kill other players. Since you're "bad at this game" if you don't know anything about PvP the would be PvP player stays bad and the good players giggle to themselves about how bad s/he is.

Pretty sure the issue with DPS has more to do with the fact you can res someone at full energy and not the cast time of it. >_>
And FDH should have had its duration cut and not speed cut
Everything else was a pretty decent change. Thought that counts riiight!
Oh and scrubs that only play 1 half of the game probably shouldn't comment on the other half, it makes you look stupid because more often than not you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Raptor farming is still very possible. If you die now before you can aggro them all.... then don't aggro them all. Duh. Aggro half of them, kill em, then aggro the rest, kill them.
EDIT: DPS was probablly nerfed due to the PvE Subway build.

Anyways I play both parts of this game (PvE more lately) and it's always very fun to see ppl wine when all it takes to go off and kill some more AI is a single skill change. Nice work on DP sig, still strong on any character and still overpowered on mesmers.

However, if you're only in GW for the PvE, there are some much better PvE games out there. That's not even a 'go away' comment, if I only PvE'ed , I'd play something that was specifically designed for PvE, that would have more depth and be more interesting.
|
I have a life outside of gaming, and GW consumes about as much of my time as I am willing to give to any game, so those games with deeper PvE really don't appeal to me.

Please, enlighten us, what exactly is it about then?
PvP? Maybe for you, but most people (as in, the bigger number of us in the game population) can only stand to be around PvPers for about 15 minutes. Bluntly, PvP in GW attracts a certain kind of personality, and it's not a nice kind.

Enter you are partly right there in saying that GW gathers a certain type of people. But saying that 1) its mainly in PvP (inplied) and 2) that its bad mean people are both way off.
The mainstay of the GW population aren' bad people. Even the people who yell at others and call them noobs for ruining an Ursan run or who mess up a run in halls. They are all the same type of person (generally speaking of course).
GW attracts stubborn people. More specifically, the people who play GW the most are stubborn. Think about it, go back and read your posts. You are arguing over things that you really can't discuss as neither side actually listens to the other. All they do is read the other person's post and attempt to find a flaw in it in order to strike back.
Both PvP and PvE have the same types of people. The PvP crowd is the same kind as the PvE crowd but they each specialize in different aspects of the game. When one tries to crossover they find themselves in groups of people who have a routine and know exactly what they are doing and enjoy it. They mess it up for those groups and get yelled at. You do this a couple of times and you loose intrest in the other half. Its just human nature to avoid something that makes you be attacked by others.
So yes. We are Stubborn people. But no we aren't vehement attackers who want to delete anyone's account who plays differently than we do. (I myself am a stubborn player who plays both pvp and pve equaly).

No.
It's run on Warriors.
W/Rt - just look at obs mode. DPS is an excellent hard rez, and with no spec in anything, allows you to run it on warrior bars.
I like this update, to be honest. It'll hopefully make Rt/A runners viable for GvG again.

Playing the game for fun.
Farming (which i have done several hundred hours of) is boring, repeative work. You can make good money and enjoy yourself just by playing through quests, missions, and elite areas.

ROFLMAO...
Sorry tying to type here but can't because I am laughing so hard, ok.
Where has it been every stated that guild wars is pvp orientated? Please provide a link. If I am wrong that is fine but that would be the most short-sited business plan I have ever seen. Love to see an advertisement, “Guild Wars – Player vs. Player orientated game, we just spent all these resources (MONEY) on Maps, AI, Quest, Creature Development, etc… for no reason!”
PvP is the minority in guild wars. What I find so interesting is that PvP forgets that if it was not for PvE Guild Wars would have been considered a flop and Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North would have been canceled. You need PvE more then we will every need you.
Considering Izzy latest updates for the sack of PvP, doesn’t affect us serious farmers. I usually use a 600 / Smite with two computers and two accounts, works great. All the drops are mine I tell you, all mine!
Now all you PvP get off these forms and go earn me some more Z-Keys!!! I am feeding an addiction here and your lack of b-faction farming might actually increase the price to 3k ea!!!

Uninstall windows please, you're making me sad. This is possibly one of the few times I will ever agree with Rhanoct.
This game was made for PvP. Why the low level cap, the non-epic weapons, the general communist-approach to character development, skill selection and the like?
This game was not geared towards farming/hardcore pve - go play WoW for that.
GW was geared towards casual PvE and relatively competitive PvP.
So stop complaining about your farming runs and make some money another way if you must.

No windows that would just leave me with my Linux and my Mac!!! No I need my crash fix.
You're absolutely right, not... Like I said, "Go B-faction farm I need Z-keys." You keep this up and I might actually have to start paying more then 2k per key. What game are you playing? ANET invested more resources in PvE in Prophecies alone then they every did in all of PvP.

Have you ever gone through Ascension?
You do understand that those missions were meant to prepare you for Pvp. As well as the little arenas scattered throughout prophecies to give you bits of PvP experience.
And Malice, I guess I'll go slave away in the dreadful land of GvG

Actually, I like it this way round.
How's about all the retard PvEers pay for - essentially - a bad PvE game with crappy grind and no rewards that fails in comparison to other PvE-centric MMOs on the market, so's ANet can keep paying Izzy to keep PvP playable?
Oh, then you can have my Z-Keys.

Actually, i AM one of those PvP-dislikers. and you honestly think that farming is the reason ANET made this game? it was made to be an anti-grind based game.[/irony]. if all you do in this game is Farm, please smack yourself.

Wow. It went from "Updates: WTF" to "GvG FTL?" o_O
Anyway (On-Topic)... Updates: Guild Wars is only as good as it's weakest Developer... *Gazes furiously at Skills Balancer* >.>~~~~~
It's pretty sad how crippling Arena Net can become with skill balance updates just to suit casual players... -_- It's personally turning players off knowing they payed for a game, only to recieve a digital communism...? Should we even give Guild Wars so much attention, knowing that in a year (perhaps two) GW1 will become empty? A few things to think about...
